Welcome to the latest
news on cyber bullying. My name is Gloria foster-Williams. Presently, I am the
Principal at Candy High Middle School. Prior to this position, I taught math
for middle school grades for 18 years. While teaching I was asked to chair
committees to research types of teen violence, community outreach, GED program,
and student achievement. I am a supporter of involving students to advocate for
themselves and take ownership of their learning. Looking
forward to sharing and learning with you.
Cyber bullying a term that had not been coin twenty years ago.
However, with the advances in technology it has become another way for
individuals to be harassed and victimize. It has captivated society from law
enforcement to educators and parents over the years. Because it is
considered a relatively new phenomenon form of internet harassment, research is
probably just coming out of its infancy stage. Cyber bullying is just
as throbbing as any other form of intimidation. It may not leave any physical
scars, but it can be emotionally destructive. There is no way to
escape cyber bullying—the threat can now come into the privacy of your own
home. But there are
ways to identify and manage the effects of cyber-bullying. Have you ever experienced cyber-bullying?
